Cargo

Cargo is a high yielding, vigorous variety with good fresh and machine-harvest, process characteristics. Cargo berries are extremely round and uniform maintaining firmness and flavor during refrigeration and freezer storage. This variety is superior in long-term controlled atmosphere storage with crunchy, very firm and outstanding flavored berries. Cargo’s extremely high bud set may require aggressive pruning. The flowers tend to open in a concentrated bloom and require high bee activity to be pollinated properly. We recommend carefully monitoring flower development to be sure bees are in the field on time. Cargo is recommended for regions similar to Central, Northern & Eastern Europe.
